Hey, I’m Leanne

After 7 years study and 15 years as a Biomedical Scientist I hung up my lab coat and became proactive about physical and mental health care

Launching this company in pursuit of my very own bright, happy life was the best thing I ever did.  It took me a lot of miserable years stuck in a job I hated and living a life that felt lonely, to do something about it though.  It was scary as hell!  At the age of 33, and a single mum to a 15 year old, even I thought I had lost the plot at times…and so did plenty of others, they still do.  Just last week, I was told I had set a bad example to my boy, by ‘giving up a well paid job to not work and follow my hobby’.

I finally started to work towards a different life when I embarked on a charity trek in China in 2013.  The fundraising journey was just what I needed to give me the courage and confidence that not only was more out there, but that I could have a piece of it.  I became a personal trainer and took those first nervous steps walking out of my job not long after with a dramatic, middle of the lab blow up….

‘I have to go now whether you like it or not, and you can KISS MY ARSE!’

Not gonna lie, as fun as that sounds now, I had a full blown panic attack in the car after. THAT was not sensible, now what was I going to do? My new career path was doing great, but it wasn’t enough, was it? But I leaned into my new friends, threw myself in to Neon Life and haven’t looked back since! I’ve learnt so much since then and I am a completely different person….inside and out……

Neon Life has evolved over the years and become much more than a just another personal training service.  I’ve become a trained hypnotherapist and the development of the Academy has made my services accessible to all. Location and budget is not a barrier and a community of amazing men and women have started to form….that is why I have decided to start this blog, to be open and transparent.  I want to share how I stick to my own plans, step out of comfort zones and deal with struggles along the way.

I am not lucky, I work hard at the lifestyle I have now and I know people want to know more about how I do that!
